The government has started efforts to clean and restore the famous Bhadrakali Lake in Warangal. As part of this project, workers have begun removing silt and debris from the lake to bring it back to life.
Officials have already opened the sluice gates, allowing water to flow through several important areas like Kappavada Mattadi, Alankar Peddamori, Kakatiya Colony, and Peddamma Gadda. This water is being redirected to Nagaram Lake as part of the cleanup process.
According to the officials, the entire lake will be emptied over the next 15 to 20 days. This will allow for the removal of sediment and any large debris, including sunken carts, from the lake bed.
This cleanup effort is part of a larger government plan to revive and protect Bhadrakali Lake, which is historically and culturally important to the region. The lake is not only a vital water source but also a popular spot for locals and tourists.
Authorities have promised that the lake will be restored to its former beauty, which will help the environment and improve the look of the area. The project is expected to be finished in a few weeks, ensuring the lake remains a key resource for the city in the future.
