The Dastkari Haat Handloom and Handicrafts Expo is now open at the Kalinga Cultural Center in Banjara Hills. This event celebrates India’s rich craft traditions. Influencer Sudha Rani Nali and organizer Sameen Shah launched the expo, which showcases the skill of weavers and craftsmen from all over the country.
With over 60 stalls, visitors can discover a variety of textiles, including silks from Banaras, Bihar, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Rajasthan. The expo also features cotton fabrics and local handicrafts. Shah pointed out that the sales directly benefit rural artisans, widows, and their families, helping them sustain their livelihoods.
Running through August 25, this event gives Hyderabad a unique opportunity to appreciate genuine Indian artistry and cultural beauty all in one place.
