Hyderabad: The Telangana State Human Rights Commission (TSHRC) has instructed SAM Rizvi, the Principal Secretary of Government for Revenue (Prohibition and Excise), to provide a detailed report on a reported case of toddy adulteration.

The directive came after a complaint was filed by Rama Rao on Thursday. The Commission wants the report by August 20. It should include a factual check of the incident, the number of deaths, and the affected individuals as described in the complaint and media reports.

Additionally, the Commission requested information on any actions taken by the Revenue Department. This includes investigations, arrests, closure of toddy shops, or disciplinary measures against responsible officials.
