Hyderabad businessman Ravi Mantha is linked to high-profile meetings with convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The US Justice Department files show that Mantha not only communicated with Epstein but also met him. However, no records suggest any illegal actions.
Emails reveal that Mantha, who translated “A Journey: Poems by Narendra Modi,” directly contacted Epstein and even met him in late 2017. They discussed treatments, but specifics weren’t mentioned.
In 2008, Epstein admitted to sex trafficking minors.
One email from Mantha to Epstein, via his office, reminded Epstein of their January meeting. Mantha mentioned treating 1,000 people successfully for chronic issues. He offered to meet again at 4:30 pm if Epstein was interested.
Mantha was introduced to Epstein by Gino Yu. An email dated January 11, 2017, shows Yu introducing Mantha to Epstein, praising his healing abilities. While they planned to meet again in New York, this meeting didn’t happen. The records don’t mention any involvement in trafficking.
Mantha is well-known in Hyderabad’s elite circles. He also appears in the movie “Srikanth,” which tells the story of a visually impaired industrialist who receives help from Mantha to start his industry.
Jeffrey Epstein was a US financier accused of sex trafficking, but he died before his trial. He built his wealth by offering tax and estate services to billionaires and mingled with global elites. In 2008, Epstein confessed to trafficking minors. He and Ghislaine Maxwell recruited children as young as 12 who suffered abuse at Little St James in the US Virgin Islands. Epstein died in August 2019 while awaiting trial.
Epstein’s files also mention Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Puri faces scrutiny after Rahul Gandhi, a senior Congress member, alleged his connections with Epstein.
The US Department of Justice website lists Hardeep Puri’s name multiple times, contradicting the minister’s claims.
