Hyderabad Police Bust Illegal Bakery in Gudimalkapur, Seize ₹12.54 Lakh Goods

The Hyderabad City Police Task Force (Golconda) along with Gudimalkapur Police conducted a raid on an unlicensed bakery unit operating in KD Colony, Gudimalkapur. The joint operation led to the arrest of Ahmed Raza (46), who was running the illegal establishment. The authorities seized goods and machinery valued at ₹12,54,280 from the premises during the operation.

The illegal bakery was manufacturing various food products including biscuits, buns, and other bakery items under highly unhygienic conditions. Investigations revealed that the unit was using low-quality raw materials to produce these food items, posing a serious threat to public health. The manufacturing process was carried out without proper licenses or adherence to food safety standards.

The accused had been supplying these illegally manufactured products to local kirana stores, cafés, and hotels across the area. The distribution network had been operating for an undisclosed period before the authorities received information about the illegal unit. The products were being sold without any quality certifications or proper packaging labels indicating their origin.

During the raid, police discovered a huge stock of finished products along with raw materials and manufacturing machinery. The unhygienic conditions at the facility raised serious concerns about public health and food safety. The lack of proper ventilation, cleanliness, and storage facilities violated multiple food safety regulations.

A case has been registered under Crime Number 110/2026 at the Gudimalkapur Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The seized items include the entire stock of manufactured goods, raw materials, and machinery used in the production process. The police are investigating whether the accused has any other similar operations in different locations.

The Hyderabad City Police have warned consumers to be cautious about purchasing food items from unauthorized sources and to verify the licensing credentials of food establishments. Authorities stated that such illegal operations put public health at serious risk due to unsafe food production practices and the use of substandard ingredients in manufacturing.
