Hyderabad: Concerns about the Congress Party’s intentions in Jubilee Hills were raised by BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao. He speculated that if the Congress candidate wins in this area, they might establish a special corporation for rowdy-sheeters. He criticized the Congress for failing to implement six guarantees promised before the general elections, suggesting these would be enforced if their candidate won in Jubilee Hills.
The six guarantees mentioned by Rao include the withdrawal of cases against rowdy-sheeters in the twin cities, ignoring intimidation and violence cases, a monthly pension of ₹50,000 for elderly rowdy-sheeters, the creation of a special corporation for them, and issuing special licenses for land grabs and settlements.
N. Ramchander Rao urged Jubilee Hills voters to decide the kind of governance they desire in Telangana. He condemned the rising gun culture and violence, accusing the Congress of partnering with the Majlis Party to disrupt peace and security. Rao highlighted a previous letter he sent to the DGP regarding these issues and claimed he had warned the government before incidents like the Chaderghat incident occurred. He criticized the government’s negligence.
Criticism was also directed towards the state government for its failures across sectors. Rao accused the government of neglecting farmers, employees, students, and the common people, stating even the police lack protection. He expressed concern over injustices towards martyrs and claimed the current administration continues the injustices of the previous one.
Rao remarked that the BRS has become ineffective, comparing it to a malfunctioning car once housed in the Majlis garage. He metaphorically described the car as lacking a steering wheel, with missing tires and no driver, implying that any statements from those emerging from such a vehicle are not worth responding to.
