In Karnataka, members of Hakki Pikki tribe interacted with PM Modi.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of the Hakki Pikki tribe in Shivamogga. The tribe had been evacuated from Sudan as part of Operation Kaveri. The evacuees expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for ensuring their safe evacuation. They also shared their difficult experiences in Sudan and how the government and Indian Embassy had helped them.

The Prime Minister assured the tribe that the government would always work to find solutions for any problems faced by Indians anywhere in the world. He also highlighted the tribe’s history, noting that their ancestors had fought alongside Maharana Pratap.

The Prime Minister urged the Hakki Pikki people to remember their country’s strength and to always be willing to assist those in need and make contributions to society and their nation. The evacuees shared with the Prime Minister how people in other countries had confidence in Indian medications and were happy to learn they were from India.
