The political lull in Telangana will end soon after the G-20 summit. The three main political parties, BRS, Congress, and BJP, will compete to hold public meetings and gear up for the upcoming elections.

The Congress and BJP have chosen September 17 as the day for their public meetings, which coincides with Telangana Liberation Day. On the other hand, the BRS plans to inaugurate the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme on September 16, followed by a large public meeting.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will use this platform to criticize the Congress, whom he sees as the main rival, and the BJP, whom he accuses of neglecting Telangana.

Meanwhile, the Congress will hold the Congress Working Committee meeting on September 16, followed by a massive public rally near Tukkuguda abutting ORR. They aim to gather around 10 lakh people. The BJP, not wanting to be left behind, will hold a public meeting at the Parade Grounds on the same day, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the speaker.

This has sparked a war of words among the parties, with each one attacking the other. The Congress and BJP had a dispute over the venue for their public meetings. Eventually, the BJP obtained permission, but TPCC president A Revanth Reddy alleged that the BRS and BJP conspired to cancel the original venue allocated to them.

Revanth claimed that the state police refused to give them time to submit a letter seeking protection for Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, who are SPG-protected and will be in Telangana for two days. Despite this, he called on people to come out in large numbers and protect these leaders from any obstacles the police may create. He also mentioned that the Congress will celebrate Telangana Liberation Day on September 17.
