Rajanna Sircilla: Students from JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) protested on Monday near the Government Degree College in Agraharam, Vemulawada Urban Mandal. They were upset because their classrooms, labs, and washrooms were locked. The principal of the college locked these facilities, saying the agreement for temporary use had ended.

The students blocked the Karimnagar–Kamareddy road, demanding the locks be removed so they could use the facilities again. They accused the principal, Shankar, of preventing their entry by locking the gates after the agreement expired. Despite filing a complaint at the Collectorate, no action was taken. Students felt their right to education was being ignored.
