Former Minister Jogu Ramanna Criticizes BJP Leaders Over Adilabad CCI Factory Issue

Former Minister Jogu Ramanna has demanded that local BJP MP Nagesh and MLA Payal Shankar clarify their stance on the Adilabad CCI cement factory and airport renovation.

Speaking at a press conference at the BRS party office on Monday, Ramanna accused the MP and MLA of merely making statements about the CCI factory without taking any real action.

He warned that if the BJP fails to reopen the factory as promised, protests will be staged. He pointed out that BJP leaders, who previously blamed the state government, are now unable to explain who is blocking the renovation of the CCI factory. He also highlighted that before the elections, BJP leaders assured people that the factory would be reopened and provide thousands of jobs. However, instead of reopening, tenders were issued to sell the factory as scrap.

Ramanna questioned how permissions could be granted when the CCI factory is involved in a court case. He alleged that the youth, workers, and landless people of Adilabad are being deceived again.

Despite the BJP being in power at the center, Ramanna claimed that the local MP and MLAs have failed to support the district. He recalled that during the previous BRS government, under the leadership of KTR, efforts were made to revive CCI through discussions with then BJP Union Minister Hans Raj Hai Ray.

He accused the BJP leaders of ignoring their promises after winning the elections. He warned that if they do not provide answers to the people, a round table meeting with all political parties will be organized, followed by protests to push for the revival of CCI.

Several BRS leaders, including Ijjagiri Narayana, Sajituddin, Prabhakar, Adapa Tirupati, Battu Satish, Kumra Raju, Vinod, Sai, and Alam, participated in the event.
