Jogulamba Gadwal, a district in Telangana, has achieved a major educational success. In the March 2025 SSC Public Exams, the district recorded a strong 91.74% pass rate, placing it 26th in the state rankings.
Out of 7,569 students who sat for the exams, 6,944 passed. Girls outperformed boys, with a 93.96% pass rate compared to 89.49% for boys. Among all the mandals, Alampur topped the list with 98.06%, closely followed by Undavelli (97.05%), and both Itikyala and Erravalli at 96.15%.
This achievement reflects the district’s focused educational efforts under Collector B.M. Santosh. His leadership has brought consistent reforms to improve schooling across rural areas.
To celebrate the success, the district honored students who scored a perfect 10/10 GPA during Telangana Formation Day on June 2. Collector Santosh personally awarded the top scorers and announced a new initiative—the “Academic Excellence Award.” This annual award will recognize the best-performing students and schools every year on June 2.
Since August 2024, the district launched special campaigns in Gattu and KT Doddi mandals—areas once known for high dropout rates and child labor. Local teams ran awareness drives and motivational events in villages to encourage children to return to school.
These programs made a big difference. Students from low-income and farming families also received career guidance to help them think beyond traditional work and explore new career paths.
The district also stepped up efforts to stop child marriages, especially among girls. Awareness sessions focused on the importance of education and the benefits of finishing school.
Collector Santosh emphasized the broader goal, saying, “Education is the most powerful tool for change. Every child should go to school and dream big — that is our vision and mission.”
The progress in Jogulamba Gadwal has earned praise from across Telangana. Officials say the success is the result of strong leadership, effective government support, and active community involvement.
This district’s story now sets an example for others. It proves that with the right approach and commitment, rural education can thrive and change lives.
