Hyderabad – Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has asked officials to give international guests a warm and traditional welcome that truly represents Telangana’s culture and values.
On Tuesday, the Minister visited Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad to check preparations for the arrival of global participants attending the upcoming Miss World pageant. He said the airport should act as a lively introduction to Telangana, showcasing the state’s rich heritage and hospitality.
Officials from GMR Passenger Experience, Tourism Department, Customs, Immigration, and the CISF joined the Minister during the inspection. He reviewed all the arrangements and urged for a traditional decor. He suggested decorating the arrival area with fresh flowers and festive mango and banana leaf toranas to create a warm and colorful welcome.
To make the experience smooth for guests, the Minister asked authorities to improve immigration and customs procedures. He also called for more reception teams to assist the delegates. He stressed that every part of the airport journey should highlight Telangana’s art, culture, and hospitality.
During his visit, Jupally Krishna Rao spoke briefly with Miss India Nandini Gupta and Miss Mexico Marlé Lél Cervantes, who had just landed. He welcomed them and encouraged them to explore Telangana’s historic sites and cultural attractions. He also wished them the best for their participation in the Miss World competition.
