Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, visited the Ujjain Mahankali temple on Sunday. He was accompanied by his wife, Kavya.
Kavya Reddy offered the first Bonam to the presiding deity at the temple. The couple then performed Puja to Mahankali.
Kishan Reddy mentioned that he prayed to the goddess for the well-being of all people in Telangana and for peace and prosperity across the country.
He also highlighted that the tradition of offering Bonalu has been practiced for centuries in Telangana. Specifically, offering Bonalu to the Ujjain Mahankali in Secunderabad holds special significance for the people.
