Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao, also known as KTR, accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of causing hardship for the people of Hyderabad, especially during the festive season of Dasara and Bathukamma. He stated that the ruling party’s new slogan could be described as “Musi me luto, Delhi me baanto” (Loot in Musi, Share in Delhi).
KTR made these comments while speaking with victims of the Musi River floods in Tulasi Nagar, located in the Amberpet constituency. He mentioned that the poor in the area lived in constant fear of their homes being demolished by the government. According to KTR, the Chief Minister was taking revenge on the people of Hyderabad for not voting for him by targeting and demolishing houses of the poor.
KTR urged the residents to unite and resist if bulldozers showed up to demolish their homes. He encouraged them to question the officials about the safety of their own families. He also criticized the Congress party, accusing them of hypocrisy. He said that under the “IndirammaRajyam” program, Congress had once promised to build homes for the poor, but now, they were demolishing them instead.
Furthermore, KTR expressed disappointment with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for remaining silent on the issue. He speculated that Kishan Reddy and CM Revanth Reddy might be working together to hurt the poor. KTR insisted that if the demolition project was to continue, the affected people should be given three times the compensation, job opportunities, and financial support.
KTR also challenged the Chief Minister to first fulfill the six promises he had made if he was serious about leading. He advised the residents to replace the “RBX” marks on their homes with “KCR” and see if anyone dared to demolish them. Lastly, KTR promised to fight legally for the people, even if it cost Rs 10 crore.
