Hyderabad – In a heartfelt act of kindness, BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) stepped in to help Manda Mahesh, a migrant worker from Mandepalli village in Rajanna Sircilla district, who was seriously injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia.
Mahesh had moved to the Gulf to earn a living for his wife and two small children. While heading to work in a company-provided bus near Jubail, a terrible accident took place. The crash killed nine people. Mahesh and one other person survived but suffered major injuries, including damage to his spine and both legs.
He is now being treated at Jubail General Government Hospital, but his family said he wasn’t receiving proper care due to lack of money. After being in the hospital for over 15 days without progress, his family reached out for help.
KTR responded quickly. He visited Mahesh’s family in Mandepalli and assured them of his full support. “You’re not alone. I’m with you during this tough time,” he told them.
KTR also spoke to Mahesh through a video call. He offered comfort and made a strong promise: “Don’t lose hope. I’ll bring you back home within four to five days and make sure you get the best treatment in Hyderabad—all at my expense.”
To act on his promise, KTR immediately directed BRS members and contacts in Saudi Arabia to visit Mahesh at the hospital. He asked them to provide both emotional and logistical support.
He also wrote to the Telangana NRI Department and the Ministry of External Affairs, requesting fast action to bring Mahesh back to India for medical care.
KTR confirmed he would personally cover all the costs, including medical treatment and air travel, ensuring Mahesh gets the help he desperately needs.
