Hyderabad: Expressing disappointment over the electoral setback in the Lok Sabha elections, the BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday said that the party would continue to toil and rise from the ashes again like a phoenix.

Responding to the election results by posting on Twitter, Rao said that the setback was certainly very disappointing. He mentioned that in the last 24 years since TRS was founded, they have experienced stellar achievements, successes, and setbacks. The greatest glory for them remains the formation of Telangana state, which is their biggest achievement.

As a regional party, they won two consecutive state elections with a good majority of 63 out of 119 seats in 2014 and 88 out of 119 seats in 2018. Currently, they are the principal opposition with one-third of the seats, which is 39 out of 119 in 2023. Rao acknowledged that the electoral setback in the recent elections was disappointing, but they are determined to keep working hard and bounce back.
