Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, announced on Tuesday that the party would strongly oppose the government if it does not resolve the fee reimbursement problem affecting students. At a meeting with leaders from the Jubilee Hills constituency, he urged them to start a ‘Vijaya Yatra’ or victory march from their area.
Rao criticized the Congress party, claiming that its policies have frustrated the state’s people. He accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of causing economic instability in Hyderabad. Rao argued that while his party had turned Hyderabad into the economic hub of Telangana over the past decade, the current government’s policies are harming the city, and citizens are aware of this. He emphasized that many believe BRS should return to power to continue the city’s progress.
Speaking to party members in Bhadrachalam, Rao highlighted that Telangana was the first to enact a law eliminating the Wakf Board. He pointed out that although the BJP introduced the Wakf Amendment Act, no BJP-ruled state has enforced it, except for Telangana under CM Revanth Reddy.
Rao urged party leaders to organize a meeting in Bhadrachalam within the next week or ten days, which he would attend. He expressed confidence in defeating a local MLA who switched allegiance to the Congress. Rao declared that the Congress party’s favorable period has ended, with elections expected in nine months. He noted that “opportunists” have left, clarifying who truly supports BRS.
He concluded by expressing optimism about the future, starting with the upcoming local body elections.
