BRS leader Manne Krishank questioned the government and Madhapur police for seizing his phone due to a social media post in the ‘Indiramma Rajyam’. He raised concerns about the basis for the seizure during a press conference at Telangana Bhavan. PCC working president MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud filed a complaint, leading to the police registering a case against Krishank for a tweet. Congress MLA candidate Feroze Khan alleged corruption of Rs 3,000 crore in Chitrapuri Colony, with journalists supported by the Congress reporting on it.
Krishank highlighted that Chitrapuri society treasurer Anumula Mahananda Reddy is claimed by the CM to be unrelated. However, there is photographic evidence of the two together, raising suspicions. He criticized the police for seizing his phone and passwords without proper investigation into the matter. Krishank also pointed out the double standards in handling accusations, citing examples of how others were not treated similarly for making harsh comments against the government.
The BRS leader emphasized that according to the Supreme Court, phones cannot be confiscated without a judicial warrant. He expressed doubts about the whereabouts of his phone and passwords, suggesting they may be in the possession of someone else. Krishank vowed to fight against the charges and demanded that his phone be presented to a magistrate for further examination. BRS social media conveners Dinesh Chowdhary, Y Satish Reddy, and Patimeedi Jagan Mohan Rao were also present at the press conference.
