Khammam:
The Congress Party held a major meeting on Sunday at the Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan party office in Khammam to boost its local organisation.
Puvvala Durga Prasad, President of the Khammam District Congress Committee (DCC), led the meeting. Warangal MLA M Naini Rajender Reddy and Bathina Srinivasa Rao attended as chief guests. They also acted as district observers for the PCC.
During the session, party leaders shared that the Congress high command plans to appoint candidates to vacant seats in various Corporations. They instructed party units to submit proposals for village, mandal, block, and town committees. Each proposal must include a panel of five dedicated party workers for every post.
They stressed that only active and hardworking members should hold office. Leaders asked those unable to contribute effectively to step down on their own.
Puli Anil Kumar, State Coordinator of the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan’, explained in detail how to build a strong party structure from the village level up to the district.
Puvvala Durga Prasad thanked all party leaders, workers, and supporters for making Congress the party with the most seats from Khammam district in the recent elections. He called on everyone to join hands in strengthening the party’s local presence further.
Several prominent leaders attended, including Sathupalli MLA Matta Raghamaayi, Wyra MLA Maloth Ramdas Nayak, TPCC member Mohammed Javeed, former MLC M Potla Nageswara Rao, State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Chairman Naidu Satyanarayana, State Warehousing Corporation Chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao, and District Cooperative Bank Chairman Dondapati Venkateswara Rao.
Senior party officials and representatives from different Congress wings were also present, showing strong support for the party’s future plans.
