Local MLA advises jobless youth to use Digital Employment Exchange-Telangana

Wanaparthy: In Wanaparthy district, MLAs attended the launch of the Digital Employment Exchange Telangana (DEET) at the IDOC Conference Hall. This program, organized by the District Industries and Commerce Department, saw participation from Additional Collector Revenue G Venkateswarlu, Additional Collector Local Bodies In-charge Yadayya, Industries Department Officer Jyoti, Placement Officer S.N. Arjun Kumar, and Task Manager Siraj. Together, they unveiled the DEET magazine.

The MLAs highlighted the challenge faced by educated youth in finding jobs suited to their skills, and the difficulties industries face in hiring skilled workers. To address this, the state’s Chief Minister introduced DEET, an AI-based platform designed to connect job seekers with employers effectively.

They encouraged unemployed youth to register on DEET and obtain an identity card. The goal is to employ 10,000 people in Wanaparthy’s private sector over the next five years.

The Telangana government, aiming to boost youth productivity for free, initiated DEET through the Industries and Commerce Department. This innovative online platform matches job seekers with employers based on unique skills. DEET assists in resume preparation and provides job alerts tailored to users’ educational backgrounds. It also showcases internships and apprenticeships, facilitating practical experience for young individuals. This platform enhances job opportunities and organizes job fairs, creating a thriving job market in Telangana.

DEET doesn’t just connect people with jobs; it offers vital resources for skill development. It identifies skill gaps and helps job seekers upgrade their abilities in line with industry needs.

Accessible via website, Android, and iOS apps, DEET supports the entire job search process, including enrollment, job postings, alerts, chatting with HR, and interviews.

The Telangana government is dedicated to building a skilled workforce through DEET. They plan to collaborate with departments like the Industries Department, Technical Education Department, College Education Department, Employment & Training Department, and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge to ensure DEET’s success.
