Nizamabad: On Saturday, Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy and Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy visited the Government General Hospital in the district’s main city.
First, the Collector looked over the building that includes the Maternal and Child Health Center and the Critical Care Unit.
Afterward, the MLA and Collector discussed the hospital’s operations with officials. Reddy emphasized the need for better medical services and facilities.
He noted that the hospital sees 1,800 to 2,000 patients daily. He urged improvements in all departments to meet this demand.
Reddy highlighted that the hospital has 180 doctors, enough staff, and modern equipment and encouraged people to use these services.
The MLA stated the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare, similar to improvements in education. He promised funding for advanced equipment and infrastructure.
Engineering officials were instructed to fix the drainage, toilets, leaks, and complete repairs to the flooring and windows within a month.
Given the hospital’s 15-year history, he stressed the importance of addressing management issues.
