Karimnagar has experienced heavy rainfall since Tuesday, bringing relief to local farmers. Previously dry ponds, tanks, and check dams are now receiving much-needed water, easing the concerns of those in agriculture. Farmers plan to cultivate around 3,45,700 acres in Karimnagar, 2,83,321 acres in Peddapalli, and 2,40,000 acres in Rajanna Sircilla.
For the past two months, the monsoon season brought minimal rain, worrying farmers who planted rice, cotton, maize, and vegetables. Now, their spirits are lifted by the recent downpour.

Several tanks in the district are already filled with rainwater. Karimnagar Circle Superintending Engineer M Ramesh Babu urged electricity consumers, especially farmers, to exercise caution. He emphasized that they should not attempt any electrical work themselves.
Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam advised citizens to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary due to possible road damage and overflowing ponds and streams. He warned against unnecessary travel.
Police personnel are available at the divisional level to assist village residents. Instructions have been communicated to officers across departments to ensure readiness and support for the community.
