Indian Railways has decided to reduce the number of coaches on the Secunderabad – Nagpur Vande Bharat Express due to low passenger occupancy. The change will take effect from February 19.

Officials reported that since the service started in September last year, the train has had an average occupancy of only 34 percent. Train number 20101 (Nagpur to Secunderabad) had an occupancy rate of 33.81 percent, while train number 20102 (Secunderabad to Nagpur) had 33.87 percent. Due to this low demand, the number of coaches is being reduced.

Starting February 19, the train will have fewer coaches. Previously, both train numbers 20101 and 20102 had 18 chair cars and two executive cars. Now, the trains will operate with just seven chair cars and one executive car.

A senior officer from South Central Railway (SCR) assured that this change will not affect the quality of service. Passengers will still enjoy the same benefits, including faster travel, better comfort, and modern onboard facilities.
