A thief called Bunty Chor was arrested by Delhi Police one month after being released from prison. This happened in Lucknow and luxury items worth thousands were found in his possession. Two criminal cases of burglary and vehicle theft in Delhi were resolved with his arrest. A woman resident reported her car and expensive belongings were stolen, and a house burglary was reported with several electrical items stolen.

The police team started investigating the burglaries by looking at CCTV footage of the suspect. They found a stolen phone’s location near Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and started chasing the speeding car running at 120 km/hour. The car was eventually stopped in Kanpur Dehat where Bunty was apprehended. He has been involved in over 250 criminal cases across Delhi and started burglary at the age of 14 in 1993.

Bunty became famous after participating in the reality show “Big Boss” Season 4 in 2010 but was evicted for misbehaving with the host. He was arrested in 2013 for committing night burglary in Kerala and stealing a high-end car. He served a 10-year sentence, which ended in March 2023, and returned to Delhi. The police say that he is pretending to be mentally unsound to avoid confrontation with the facts and recovery because he is very professional and a hardened criminal with knowledge of all police procedures.
