The Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced a temporary road closure near Majid Banda due to ongoing drain work in the area. The closure will be effective from 10:00 PM on June 19, 2026, until June 21, 2026. Commuters travelling through the Majid Banda-Botanical Garden Road stretch are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow designated diversion routes during this period.
The road closure specifically affects the stretch near Majid Banda connecting to Botanical Garden Road. Traffic will not be permitted on this route throughout the specified period to facilitate uninterrupted drain work. The authorities have deployed traffic personnel on the ground to guide motorists and ensure smooth flow of vehicles through alternative routes.
For commuters travelling from HCU Depot towards Botanical Garden or Heritage Junction, a detailed diversion route has been established. Motorists should take a left turn at SMR Vinay Iconia, proceed via Luxor Apartments Road, take a U-turn at Seshadri Marg, and continue towards Heritage Junction. This alternate route will help vehicles bypass the closed section while reaching their intended destinations.
Commuters heading in the opposite direction from Botanical Garden or Heritage Junction towards HCU Depot must follow a different diversion path. Vehicles should take a left turn near Holistic Hospital, proceed via Aparna Serene Park, continue towards Ambedkar Statue, and then take a left turn to reach HCU Depot. These clearly marked routes have been designed to minimize inconvenience to daily commuters.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police have urged all motorists to cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at key junctions along the diversion routes. Authorities have emphasized the importance of following the designated paths to avoid congestion and ensure the safety of all road users. Traffic management teams will be stationed at critical points to provide guidance and assistance to commuters unfamiliar with the alternative routes.
The traffic police have expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to commuters during the drain work period. They have requested public cooperation to ensure the smooth completion of the essential infrastructure work. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time during their commute and stay updated on traffic conditions in the area throughout the closure period.
