Most parts of Telangana are expected to experience hot and mostly dry weather conditions throughout the day on June 20, 2026, according to the latest meteorological forecast. The state will witness typical summer temperatures during daytime hours, with residents advised to take necessary precautions against the heat. However, significant weather changes are anticipated as the day progresses into evening and nighttime hours across several districts.
By evening and night, Yadadri, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal and Wanaparthy districts have a high probability of experiencing intense thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, lightning and heavy downpours. The remaining areas of West, Central and East Telangana may witness isolated heat-driven thunderstorms as atmospheric conditions become favorable for convective activity. These localized weather events are expected to develop as a result of daytime heating and moisture buildup.
The state capital Hyderabad is forecast to remain hot and mostly dry during daytime hours. However, isolated evening or night thunderstorms may develop within city limits due to intense daytime heating creating unstable atmospheric conditions. Residents are advised to stay alert for sudden weather changes during evening hours and take appropriate safety measures if thunderstorm activity develops in their vicinity.
Rainfall activity across Telangana is set to increase from tomorrow onwards, with the monsoon expected to become significantly more active from Monday. Weather forecasters indicate that a proper rainy spell is likely to commence, bringing relief from the prevailing hot conditions. The increased monsoon activity is expected to provide much-needed precipitation across various districts of the state in the coming days.
