The Mangalhat Police Station in coordination with Task Force Golconda Zone and GHMC officials conducted a major raid on March 10, 2026, busting a cheating operation involving the sale of unhygienic and long-stored meat to unsuspecting customers in Hyderabad. The operation led to the arrest of one person who was allegedly selling decomposed goat and sheep offals while falsely claiming them to be fresh and hygienic products.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Afroz @ Afroz (41), was operating a business under the name “A to Z Sheep & Goat Offals” at RK Pet, Chisti Chaman Dargah, Mangalhat. According to police sources, the accused had been procuring goat and sheep offals in bulk quantities from different states at very low prices and storing them for prolonged periods before selling them to customers.

During the inspection of the premises, officials discovered shocking details about the storage and handling of the meat products. The accused reportedly kept the offals in deep freezers and plastic tubs filled with stagnant water to delay decomposition and suppress the foul smell. This dangerous practice was carried out with the sole intention of wrongful gain, putting public health at serious risk.
