Japanese company Marubeni Corporation has agreed to work with the Telangana government to build a modern Industrial Park near Hyderabad. This park will be located in the proposed “Future City” area on the outskirts of the city.
The agreement was made during Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to Japan. He met with Marubeni’s top leaders and signed a Letter of Intent for the project. The Industrial Park will be developed in stages on 600 acres of land, with Marubeni investing ₹1,000 crore to start with.
This new park will provide space for Japanese and other global companies to set up their manufacturing units. It is expected to bring in more than ₹5,000 crore in total investments. Key industries that will be part of the park include electronics, green pharmaceuticals, precision engineering, aerospace, and defence.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the project is an important step for the growth of Telangana’s industrial sector. He added that the park could create about 30,000 direct and indirect jobs for people in the region.
Dai Sakakura, a senior executive from Marubeni, also attended the meeting. This partnership is part of Telangana’s larger plan to bring in international investments and boost its high-tech industry base.
