A group of Miss World contestants arrived in Rampalayam, located in Mulugu district, and were met with a grand traditional welcome. Local officials, including District Collector Diwakara and Superintendent of Police Sabarisha, along with members of the Tourism Department, greeted the visitors warmly.
The contestants were welcomed with vibrant performances of Gussadi dance and Oggudolu, two traditional art forms that reflect the deep cultural roots of the region. These performances captivated the guests and offered them a glimpse into the local heritage.
As part of their cultural experience, the contestants visited the Ramappa Temple, a historic and architecturally stunning site. Before entering the temple, they took part in a symbolic ritual — washing their feet — as a sign of respect and purity before offering prayers inside.
Temple staff and priests organized special rituals to honor the visit. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and joy as the international guests participated in the spiritual activities.
During their time at the temple, the Miss World participants showed great interest in its background. They asked questions about the temple’s history, admired its intricate carvings, and praised the craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.
The visit not only highlighted the beauty of Telangana’s heritage sites but also served as a cultural bridge, connecting global visitors with India’s ancient traditions and rich artistry.
