    Khanapur: Local MLA Vedma Bojju Patel announced that the government is focusing on improving the lives of farmers and supporting women’s empowerment.

    On Saturday, a new paddy procurement centre opened in Birsaipet village, located in Utnoor mandal. The centre was established with the help of the Shirdi Saibabu Mahila Samakhya Bhupet, Birsaipet.

    During the event, MLA Patel stated that the government aims to involve more women’s self-help groups in key development activities. He emphasized that financial loans will be made available to these groups to strengthen their growth and independence.

    “The new paddy centre is now under the management of a local women’s group,” he said, adding that this is part of a broader effort to give women more leadership roles in the community.
