Hyderabad: Police in Hyderabad, working with the Chatrinaka Police, arrested a professional model and a medical distributor for illegally obtaining and selling Mephentermine Sulphate Injections. They confiscated 423 vials valued at approximately Rs 5,00,000.
The individuals arrested are Mohammed Zuber, a 30-year-old model from Nawabsabkunta, Falaknuma, and Veludandi Vinay Kumar, a 43-year-old medical distributor from Chengicherla, RR District. They acquired the injections without a proper license or doctor’s prescription, selling them at inflated prices to unsuspecting customers for quick profit.
Ande Srinivasa Rao, Additional DCP Commissioner’s Task Force, stated that Zuber was addicted to these injections. He bought them from Vinay Kumar, who sourced them from Kapil Gautam in Meerut, UP. Zuber misled people, especially young gym enthusiasts, by claiming the injections would enhance body growth rapidly.
