Siddipet: BJP MP from Medak, Raghunandan Rao, announced on Tuesday that plans are being made to construct a national highway from Suryapet to Sircilla. He assured that the highway will be built with minimal impact on farmers. The MP urged farmers not to worry, as their concerns are being taken into account.
Raghunandan Rao was speaking at a review meeting held at the Siddipet Collectorate regarding the highway expansion. The meeting was chaired by Siddipet Collector Manu Choudhary and attended by officials from Roads and Buildings (R&B) and farmers affected by the land acquisition.
The MP acknowledged that farmers have raised objections about the highway project. He explained that three different proposals have been prepared for the road construction. He reassured the farmers that the final plan will aim to minimize any harm to their land.
Rao also mentioned that farmers had requested the expansion of Rajiv Road to continue the 765-DG route. He promised to discuss the matter with officials from the National Highway Authority to ensure that farmland is protected as much as possible.
The MP concluded by urging authorities to work carefully so that crop fields face minimal damage during the construction process.
