Nation expresses gratitude for Father of Green Revolution’s contributions

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism and Telangana State BJP Chief G Kishan Reddy expressed condolences on the demise of Swaminathan, the Father of the Green Revolution. He highlighted Swaminathan’s contributions in increasing agriculture production to meet the country’s growing population and making agriculture profitable for farmers. Reddy described Swaminathan as a torchbearer and guiding force for agriculture research in the country. He expressed his condolences to Swaminathan’s family, stating that his loss is irreparable.

Karimnagar MP and BJP national general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar also mourned Swaminathan’s passing, calling it a great loss for agriculture. Kumar acknowledged Swaminathan’s efforts to make farming profitable by reducing input costs and ensuring minimum support price (MSP) for agricultural produce based on the labor of farmers. He expressed condolences to Swaminathan’s family, emphasizing his lifelong dedication to the well-being of farmers.
