Rahul Gandhi, a leader of the Congress party, asked people in Karnataka to vote in large numbers on Wednesday to make a better state. The Assembly elections in Karnataka are important, and the current ruling party, BJP, is hoping to keep their power in the state while Congress is trying to make a comeback. Gandhi said that voting for the Congress party will ensure women’s rights, young employment, and help the underprivileged. He also shared five guarantees made by the Congress party. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, general secretary of the Congress party, also encouraged people to vote for change in Karnataka.
There are three main parties contesting in the elections – BJP, Congress, and Janata Dal (Secular). Voting is taking place for 224 seats and will continue until 6 pm under heavy security.
