TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was given importance at the NDA meeting in New Delhi chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chandrababu Naidu sat next to Modi along with Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and BJP president JP Nadda. After the meeting, when asked if TDP would stay with the NDA, he mentioned they were partners in the alliance and contested elections together. He did not reveal details about cabinet positions he requested.

Sources in Delhi revealed that Amit Shah would have individual meetings with NDA partners to address any issues before Modi’s oath-taking ceremony on June 8. Due to this, plans for Naidu’s oath-taking as AP CM may be postponed to June 11 or 12.
