Hyderabad just witnessed a major step forward for Indian badminton with the launch of Fanly, a new social app designed to unite players, fans, and the entire badminton community.
The app was officially introduced on Sunday at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The launch event was led by Pullela Gopichand, India’s Chief National Badminton Coach and recipient of the Padma Bhushan, along with Sridevi Sira, Vice President of The Smart Bridge and former Skills Lead at NASSCOM, who is also one of the co-founders of Fanly.
Fanly aims to be more than just another social platform. Its new initiative, called Badminton India, is built to create a shared digital space where national champions, young players, and fans can interact directly. It’s a fresh way to build stronger bonds within the sport.
At the event, Gopichand highlighted the growing popularity of badminton in India. “We’ve made great progress in the sport, but we needed a space that truly brings everyone together. Fanly fills that gap. It offers new ways for fans and players to connect,” he said.
One of Fanly’s co-founders explained that this platform is a first for Indian badminton. “Badminton is booming in India, but fans and players lacked a common digital space. With Fanly’s Badminton India, we’re changing that. Fans can now follow their favorite stars more closely, and players can grow their online presence.”
Available now on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, Fanly is designed to make interaction between fans and sports stars easier and more personal.
The app focuses on building safe and positive online communities. It gives celebrities a better way to share their journey while allowing fans access to exclusive content without the noise of traditional social media. With AI-driven tools and a clear focus on authenticity and control, Fanly delivers a cleaner, more meaningful fan experience.
This launch could mark a turning point in how Indian sports communities engage online, starting with badminton.
