New Member Joins Railway Claims Tribunal

Hyderabad: K Raveen Kumar Reddy has taken charge as the new Member (Technical) of the Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT), Secunderabad bench. He officially began his role on Wednesday.

Raveen Kumar Reddy is a senior officer from the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), and he belongs to the 1988 batch. The Railway Claims Tribunal is a special kind of court, also known as a quasi-judicial body, which was set up in 1989 to help resolve claims related to railways.

Before taking up this new position, Reddy served as the Additional Member (Traffic Transportation) on the Railway Board. During that time, he played a key role in managing the movement of several special trains to Prayagraj from across the country for the Maha Kumbh Mela festival.

Over the years, he has worked in many important roles in the Railways. These include Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger Services), and Chief Freight Transportation Manager.
