Hyderabad: Starting June 2, the slot booking service will be available in all sub-registrar offices. This follows its success in 47 offices. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced the introduction of a new AI-powered chatbot. This tool will help people find registration office locations and check slot availability.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy met with the Stamps & Registration officials to discuss the slot booking system. This system makes property transactions quicker and more transparent. It has received a 94% satisfaction rate from users. The minister emphasized that these services aim to enhance efficiency in sub-registrar offices across the state.
Initially, the slot booking system was tested in 47 locations. It will now extend to another 97 offices. Since April 10, 30,592 documents were processed in the first phase, and since May 12, 14,099 documents in the second phase, totaling 45,191 documents. The slot booking has facilitated an additional 3,000 registrations.
The government values public opinion in making decisions, according to Minister Reddy. The Congress government is dedicated to providing satisfactory services. A new AI chatbot, Medha, is set up with the WhatsApp number 82476 23578. It answers queries about registration office locations, slot availability, and other registration details. Medha also provides information on registration charges and market prices.
To prevent illegal registrations, a developer registration module will soon be introduced. This will help track completed and incomplete registrations, preventing double registrations. Registered plots will be marked in red.
Due to the slot booking system, extra staff has been assigned to nine high-demand areas, including Patancheru, Yadagiri Gutta, and Ibrahimpatnam. Slot bookings are available from 10:30 AM to 5 PM, with 48 slots daily per office. In emergencies, five walk-in registrations are allowed from 5 PM to 5:30 PM. The Minister advised taking precautions to avoid technical issues as the system expands statewide.
An Aadhaar e-signature feature is being tested to further expedite the registration process. This trial is happening in the Armoor office in Nizamabad district and the Kusumanchi office in Khammam district. It will soon be rolled out across the state.
