No changes in petrol and diesel prices today across Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai on May 6, 2023.

Today, petrol and diesel prices have remained steady. The prices vary in different cities across India. In Delhi, petrol costs Rs. 96.72 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 89.62 per litre. Hyderabad has the highest petrol price at Rs. 109.67 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 97.82 per litre. Chennai’s petrol price is Rs. 102.63 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 94.24 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol costs Rs. 106.31 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 97.28 per litre. Bangalore’s petrol price is Rs. 101.94 per litre and diesel costs Rs. 87.89 per litre.

India depends on crude oil imports for petrol and diesel, which makes crude prices a major factor that affects fuel prices in the country. Other factors like increasing demand, government taxes, rupee-dollar exchange rate, and refinery concepts also impact fuel prices.
