Official says steps taken to prevent issues from rain

Wanaparthy is taking steps to ensure public safety during the rainy season, as announced by Collector Adarsh Surabhi on Monday. Alongside Additional Collector G Venkateshwarlu and other officials, Surabhi joined a video conference led by CM A Revanth Reddy and his Cabinet, where important guidelines and alerts were issued.

After the meeting, the collector instructed the Civil Supplies officer to organize the distribution of ration cards from July 25 to August 10 in each mandal. He also ordered a meeting with fertilizer shop owners to ensure they display boards showing fertilizer availability. Agriculture officers are responsible for monitoring compliance, and action will be taken against non-compliant shops.

For agricultural water needs, Agriculture and Irrigation officials must work together to release water according to farmers’ requirements. Weather updates should be communicated regularly to relevant officials. A control room for disaster management should be established. The Irrigation department is required to submit daily reports on water inflow and outflow. Health officials are advised to remain vigilant about infectious diseases. Various department officials attended the meeting to discuss these measures.
