Project Officer ITDA Ethurunagaram, Ankit, recently visited Govinda Raopeta and Mulugu mandals to check on the progress of the construction of kitchen-cum-dining halls in Chalvai and Incherla villages. These halls are being built to accommodate long-distance pilgrims during the Medaram Maha Jatara.

During the visit, the newly constructed kitchen-cum-dining halls were inspected at both locations. The executive engineer Tribal Welfare A Hemalatha ordered the completion of these kitchen sheds within a month. The officials also discussed water supply arrangements and water sources, and directed the executive engineer to connect Mission Bhagiratha water to both sites.

Additionally, the executive engineer was instructed to start the additional works for these halls, such as building CC roads, compound walls, and sumps for Mission Bhagiratha water storage. These works should be completed by the end of December. The executive engineer was also asked to inspect the first floor slab, ensure the quality of work, and make sure proper plastering is done to prevent future water leakages and construct boundary walls for the compound.
