Ranga Reddy District officials are taking steps to fairly select people for government assistance programs. To make the process open and honest, officials from different departments have formed special teams. These teams are visiting villages to check applications directly in the field.
On Tuesday, a group led by V P Goutham, the Special Secretary for Housing, and Additional District Collector Pratima Singh, visited several areas under the Maheshwaram constituency. They conducted door-to-door checks in Mankhal, Tukkuguda, and Sirigiripur villages, talking to residents who applied for homes under the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
The officials reviewed each applicant’s information and matched it with existing government records. During the visits, Goutham spoke personally with many families to understand their current living conditions and financial situations.
He emphasized that every applicant’s details will be carefully verified before approval. The goal is to ensure that only the truly needy—especially the homeless and poor—get the benefit of the housing scheme.
Pratima Singh directed officials to thoroughly inspect each applicant’s home and documents. She said accurate checks are vital, as mistakes could harm the reputation of both the government and the district.
The inspection team included District Housing Project Director D C Nayak, Thukkuguda Municipal Commissioner A Vani, Maheshwaram Tahsildar T Saidulu, MPDO K Sailaja Reddy, Verification Officer Ram Prasad, and municipal staff. Together, they are working to make sure the Indiramma Housing Scheme reaches the people who need it most.
