Hyderabad: Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy launched a sharp criticism against the Congress party on Tuesday. He accused Congress leaders of using language similar to that of Pakistan and extremist groups, especially in the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
Reddy said the entire world, including India, has condemned the attack and called for a united stand against terrorism. However, he alleged that the Congress party, instead of supporting national unity, is mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi through social media posts.
He pointed out that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who also serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is leading an online campaign that disrespects the Prime Minister. According to Reddy, these actions are not only irresponsible but also damaging to the country’s image during a time of crisis.
He said, “When Pakistan is facing internal instability, the Congress, instead of acting like a responsible opposition, is echoing anti-India sentiments. Their messages resemble those of Pakistani leaders and terrorist sympathizers.”
Adding to the criticism, BJP National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar posted on social media that “While India mourns, Congress mocks.” He accused the party of serving Pakistan’s interests and dividing the country at a time when citizens should be united.
Reddy also expressed outrage over a controversial image shared online. The image showed PM Modi with his head missing, captioned as “Gayab” (missing). He said this graphic reminded him of earlier propaganda by pro-Pakistan terror groups, who had released a similar image of Lord Shiva to insult Hindu beliefs.
He alleged that the image was shared by a group named Ummah Central with hashtags like #comingsoon and #GhazwaAlHind, which are often linked to radical ideologies. “It’s shocking that Congress is now sharing content similar to what terrorists promote,” he said.
Reddy questioned whether Congress was acting independently or under the influence of Pakistan. He said that while Rahul Gandhi publicly calls for unity through a joint parliamentary session, his party’s online actions reveal a different agenda—one that insults the Prime Minister and weakens the country’s internal strength.
The BJP leader concluded that Congress’s actions expose a dangerous mindset, one that aligns more with India’s enemies than its people.
