Film producer Bandla Ganesh, who is also the working president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, has been sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs.95 lakh. This comes after he took Rs.95 lakh from Jetti Venkateswarlu in 2019 and issued a cheque on behalf of Parameshwara Art Productions. However, when Venkateswarlu presented the cheque at the bank, it bounced.

Venkateswarlu promptly reported the matter to the police and filed a complaint. The police investigated the case and confirmed that the cheque had indeed bounced. As a result, the second munsif magistrate court in Ongole sentenced Ganesh to one year in prison and ordered him to pay the Rs.95 lakh.
