OU concludes lively four-day tribute to social reformers

Hyderabad: A four-day event at Osmania University ended on Sunday. The celebration was held to honor the birth anniversaries of three great social reformers — Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Ponnam Prabhakar, the Minister for BC Welfare and Transport, attended the closing ceremony.

During the event, Osmania University Vice Chancellor Professor M. Kumar spoke about the importance of the reformers’ work. He encouraged everyone to continue promoting the ideas of Phule, Ambedkar, and Jagjivan Ram. He said the university should keep leading the way in social change, education, and building an inclusive nation.

The celebration ended with a colorful cultural program. Students performed solo and group acts that focused on themes like social change, unity, and cultural heritage.
