OU kicks off 3-day Engineering Geophysics workshop

A three-day workshop on engineering geophysics began on Monday at Osmania University in Hyderabad. The event was organized by the Association of Exploration Geophysics (AEG) in partnership with the university’s geophysics department and other earth science societies.

The workshop was officially inaugurated by Professor B. Veeraiah, who serves as both the vice president of AEG and the head of Osmania University’s geophysics department. During the event, Dr. B. Narasimha Rao, secretary of AEG, shared an insightful presentation about the organization’s mission. He also emphasized the vital role geophysics plays in addressing modern-day challenges.
