Karimnagar: District Collector Pamela Satpathi highlighted the importance of early childhood education provided at Anganwadi centres. She explained that children under six years of age are taught through fun activities and songs, making learning enjoyable. She urged parents to enroll their young children in Anganwadis for the upcoming school year.
The District Collector spoke at an event organized by the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) Karimnagar Rural Project. The event was held at the Durgabai Deshmukh Women and Child Development Center in LMD Colony. It featured a display of teaching and learning materials used in Anganwadi pre-primary education.
She shared that Anganwadi centres follow a monthly syllabus designed to support children’s mental growth. The teachers have been trained to use an activity-based approach, which keeps children interested and engaged in learning.
The exhibition also showcased kitchen gardens and other learning tools, which attracted a lot of attention from visitors.
At the end of the event, Collector Pamela Satpathi handed out certificates to children who had completed their pre-primary education this year.
