Telangana is set to experience extreme weather conditions with severe heat wave warnings issued for several northern districts. Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagitial, Mancherial, and Kamareddy districts are expected to witness scorching temperatures ranging between 45-46°C today. Weather authorities have advised residents in these areas to take necessary precautions and avoid direct exposure to sunlight during peak afternoon hours.
The remaining parts of Telangana will face humid heat conditions with temperatures hovering between 42-44°C, creating sultry and uncomfortable weather conditions. Hyderabad city is also expected to experience similar humid heat with temperatures ranging from 41-43°C. The combination of high temperatures and humidity levels is likely to make outdoor activities particularly challenging for residents across the state.
Despite the intense heat, isolated thunderstorms are forecast in select districts during afternoon to evening hours. Medak, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, and Narayanpet districts may witness intense thunderstorm activity from afternoon through night. However, other areas across the state are expected to remain dry without any significant rainfall activity.
In Hyderabad, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in the northern and western parts of the city during evening hours. The remaining areas of the capital city are likely to remain dry throughout the day. Weather experts have indicated that these thunderstorms are primarily humidity-driven and will not provide substantial relief from the prevailing heat conditions.
Meteorological officials have characterized the expected rainfall as humidity increasing rains that will not offer major respite from the intense heat. The brief spells of rain may temporarily lower temperatures in affected areas, but the overall sultry conditions are expected to persist across Telangana. Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor exposure during peak heat hours.
