In Hyderabad, a heated discussion about ‘vote theft’ is affecting politics across Telangana. PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has accused 8 BJP MPs of winning elections through fraudulent votes. His claims have stirred significant debate.
During his Janahita padayatra in Karimnagar, Goud alleged that BJP MPs benefited from fake votes. He highlighted a particular house in Karimnagar with 40 voters as evidence. This constituency is represented by Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Goud insists there is strong proof of vote manipulation in Telangana and suspects that Bandi Sanjay won using fake votes. He believes a thorough examination of the voting data will reveal the truth.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently addressed this issue, claiming that plots for vote theft exist in Telangana. He urged unity against these actions. The Political Affairs Committee unveiled a campaign logo supporting Rahul Gandhi’s stand against vote theft. Additionally, the CM and cabinet promised to join Rahul Gandhi’s yatra in Bihar before heading back to Hyderabad.
While the Congress focuses on ‘vote theft’, the BJP is highlighting the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) issue. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy suggested revising the voter list in Telangana. He claims Hyderabad has numerous duplicate votes and estimates that a revision could remove 4 lakh votes. With local elections approaching, the strategies of Congress and BJP will be closely watched as they address these allegations and the call for SIR in the state.
