Legal metrology staff inspected petrol pumps in Mahabubnagar town following consumer complaints. The inspections took place at Hitech Filling Station, Kailash Auto Supplies, Rameshwara Filling Station, and RS Rathi Filling Station. No violations were found during the inspections.
District legal metrology officer P Ramakrishna stressed the importance of accuracy and compliance. He instructed petrol pump operators to conduct daily checks on their pumps’ functionality and obtain a verification certificate annually to avoid legal action. Customers can request delivery accuracy checks using a five-liter can. Any violations will lead to strict actions against the operators.
